Fortune Direct ("the Service") converts text into synthetic speech. Access is sold as prepaid codes, each carrying a balance of characters. A code is used by typing it in the Studio; each generation deducts the number of characters of the submitted text. Codes do not expire.
This website does not sell anything and never handles your card. Codes are sold by a partner store, which is the legal seller: it processes your payment, issues the receipt, handles taxes and delivers the code. Its name appears on its checkout page and on your card statement. The code you receive is your proof of payment; entering it here unlocks the corresponding balance.
A limited number of characters per day may be generated without a code, on selected engines and voices, to evaluate quality. We may change or withdraw the trial at any time.
You may use generated audio for personal and commercial projects. You may not use the Service to impersonate a real person, to deceive, harass or defame anyone, to produce sexual content involving minors, to infringe third-party rights, or for any unlawful purpose. We may disable a code used in breach of these rules.
The code is a bearer credential: anyone who knows it can use its balance. Keep it private. We cannot restore a balance consumed by someone you shared the code with.
We aim for continuous availability but the Service is provided "as is". If a generation fails, the characters are credited back automatically. Scheduled maintenance may interrupt the Service briefly.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the price paid for the code concerned.
